2019 (Week2) 7-14 janvier


I think the internet problem has been solved for good ( well, at least we hope so).  I t seems the cable from the satellite to the modem had been damaged when the roof was repaired in November.  They first thought the satellite needed to be replaced so they did and they discovered after it was still not working that the cable was nailed to something on the roof.  Anyway, they replaced the cable and Hemia nao ! (voila) We have had good reception the rest of the week.  Yeah!  Yes I am hooked on the internet, wifi  whatever is needed for me to communicate with my family.  It is a boost, a balm, a tremendous blessing in my life and I am so very thankful for the " effectual door "
"Let the residue continue to preach from that hour, and if they will do this in all lowliness of heart, in meekness and humility, and long-suffering, I, the Lord, give unto them a promise that I will provide for their families; and an effectual door shall be opened for them. from henceforth."  D&C 118:3
In my book there are a few effectual doors. Internet is one of them.😁
 We watch if the little blue light will come on.  It does not guarantee success all the time but we are happy with most of the time.
 It is the rainy season and it always amazes me how it can rain real hard all around the house and as we look ahead, it is clear and sunny.  In life, it is called hope.


It is soooooooo beautiful all around us.  The vibrant colors, the beautiful, smiling people.  We never get tired of admiring the shades of blue in the water, and the colorful flowers all around.






We love the atmosphere at the mama's market.  One thing I really love here is the friendliness of the people.  If you smile at them or wave, they return the smile and wave like they have known you all their life.  It is a sweet feeling.
As you can see, we have our noses to the grindstone continually...   It does not happen often but we sure enjoy a good p-day once in a while.


 How about this lovely sunset that we could admire as we were waiting for our dinner to be served.  What a wondrous world we live in!



Today in a bush chapel.  Missionaries getting everything Spirit is there so we can renew our covenants and be taught by Him.



We can always count on Mason to bring a smile to our faces.  He sent everyone in the family these two pictures today.  Love you Mason.

I enjoy this handy little emergency card.  Heavenly Father is only a prayer and a text ( scripture) away.




Enjoy this hymn in three different languages.  If you know it try singing it in another language than you are used too. I love this hymn in the three languages.

The highlight of our week was talking with Wesley for his birthday with a bonus hello from Jacob, Mason, Calvin and Arianne.  He is now 6 years old.  He is such a sweet boy and we were very happy he talked to us for almost 30 minutes!!!  We were thrilled.  We usually get a quick hello then a quick goodbye followed by a  I love you because he is busy playing . We could have talked a lot longer but we had to leave for a meeting.  A very close second was a chat with Halle, Bella, Jaden, Audrée and Jason.  Short but very sweet.  These conversations, Messenger, Facebook and pictures are such a support in these crazy times.   Like these sweet faces to look at every time we feel like screaming, gets us back in our zen zone and making us smile.                                                                           This week was a blast!  We came back Monday from Solomon Islands.  Very glad the flights have not been cance

2021 Month 3:4 (22-28 March)

Most important event this week.  Our sweet Audrée's birthday. We ended this week by chatting with her.  We are so proud of all our children and grandchildren.   We love them "gros comme le ciel" and we miss them so much.  I woke up this morning with a message from our Coralie who opened the door to memory lane for me. She sent me this letter I send her at least 10 years ago for a school project about how was school for her grand-maman when I was in second grade. After reading this letter again, I started remembering some stories to help us learn how to read.  I found online the book and some stories back then.  It was so fun to reminisce. Do you remember the March 13 entry? Tender mercy #8 Saturday morning we woke up to a miraculous news.  Go back and read it if you do not remember.  Here is Elder Kema being reunited with his long lost, almost destroyed suitcase. 2020 Semaine 29 (13-19 juillet)

What happened during week 29: Big preparation in Vanuatu for the Celebrations of the 40th anniversary of their independence. What was once broken was fixed Interviews with the Mission President and district councils where the Spirit was felt and   brought a desire to be obedient.   We attended the district council of the Blacksands district We were blessed by technology as we visited with family members.  Little Emma could not leave her daddy's ear alone.  It was so much fun to pull on it. (for her of course, not daddy) He bore it patiently for awhile until mom removed her to play with something else. 😁 Calvin had so much to tell us about toys and the accident of his brother stepping on a toy and breaking it in the process. And Calvin expressed his complete confidence that his dad will fix it.  No pressure Stephen but he is counting on you.  We share his confidence.
