2019 Week 24 (10-16 June)

The flowers on the mission home's ground are sooooo beautiful.  A feast for the eyes and the white ones are so fragrant.

The best way to start a week is to receive a care box from the family with precious notes and drawings from the grandkids.

 TANGKIU!  Mifala lavem yufala TUMAS!

We had the whole zone of Efate come to the mission home to watch the broadcast of President Nelson's visit in New Zealand.  We tried to watch it live on May 21st but we missed a lot because of bad connectivity.  So this time we were able to download the meeting and watch it without a glitch.  I am so thankful for technology.

And because of technology I was able to chat with some grandkids this week.  So much fun.

Friday we had dinner and a show with the senior missionaries.  It was an all you can eat international buffet.  It was pretty good.  One couple is leaving in a few weeks.  That is why we all got together for a special goodbye dinner.  They are good sports, they even joined in the dance.  We stayed low profile in the back. 😎😎

It was stake conference weekend in Port Vila.  We met at a recreational center.  It is the biggest turn out to a stake conference I have seen here.  The members with the missionaries went around last week inviting everyone to "come and see"  Sitting on the stand, in such a big arena, the sound was rebounding all over the place and it was hard to understand.  It seems that the audience were able to hear well.  We were supposed to give a short 5 minute testimony on Saturday and we were told to take more time.  Then today, the Fiji Temple President and Matron were scheduled to share their testimonies but they did not make it.  So we were asked to step in.  Grand-Papa took a picture of me on the big screen while I was reading a story in Bislama.

The sisters make these beautiful laies for all who are participating during the meeting.

I picked the white flower from the garden.  It smells so good!

Some of our Sunday activities: me writing the blog and look in the back ground for another of our activities.😉

Sister Anderson put this sign on the board in the mission office.  It is especially funny because her husband is particularly loved by the mosquitos.  This is missionary life in the islands!

Happy Father's day to all the almost perfect fathers we know.  Just keep at it and I know one day you will be like our Heavenly Father.

Mifala lavem yufala tumas.
Yufala gat wan gudfala wik.

Stay calm and have a coconut!
