2019 Week 41 (7-13 octobre)



We pray our children will wear their armor of God to protect them from the fiery darts of the adversary.  The program that was announced for the youth will help them have their own spiritual experiences and they will know for themselves that the Lord is always watching over them.  He is our Savior.  He will be coming back.  He wants us to live with Him forever with our loved ones.  His love for us is infinite and real.  We all need to come to Him to find out for ourselves.  


 I also know that our ancestors are watching over us and the Lord says:"...my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up" D&C 84:88
It is all true.  I know it is.



We love spending time with our wonderful missionaries in New Caledonia.  They support their mission president. 😍






 The picture taking session is at least an hour long after zone conference. Everyone wants to immortalize our great time together.

Happy birthday to our sweet Mylène this week.  We were able to chat with her before we left New Caledonia.  It was a treat.  Lavem yu bebi blong mifala.  Nous t'aimons notre bébé. 

This is the size of the burger the assistants ate before we left.  I need to take a picture of the salads we like to eat when we are there.  Mine is with goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette.  Miam

Today is the coordinating council for the mission president, two stake presidents and the area seventy.
We had dinner last night with President Guidi who flew in with us from New Caledonia.  He is staying at the Ramada Inn close to the mission home.  This is a picture of the pool and restaurant  from his room.  About ten days before we will return home, we will have to move out of the mission home and stay at a hotel.  We have made our choice already.  This is where we will stay...in 20 months.  And who's counting. 😏
We are not ready to leave.  But this will be one decision less to make when the time comes.



This weekend we will listen to the 2 sessions we missed from General Conference.  The feast continues and we will make it last for 6 months until the next one.

The highlight of our week was talking with Wesley for his birthday with a bonus hello from Jacob, Mason, Calvin and Arianne.  He is now 6 years old.  He is such a sweet boy and we were very happy he talked to us for almost 30 minutes!!!  We were thrilled.  We usually get a quick hello then a quick goodbye followed by a  I love you because he is busy playing . We could have talked a lot longer but we had to leave for a meeting.  A very close second was a chat with Halle, Bella, Jaden, Audrée and Jason.  Short but very sweet.  These conversations, Messenger, Facebook and pictures are such a support in these crazy times.   Like these sweet faces to look at every time we feel like screaming, gets us back in our zen zone and making us smile.                                                                           This week was a blast!  We came back Monday from Solomon Islands.  Very glad the flights have not been cance

2021 Month 3:4 (22-28 March)

Most important event this week.  Our sweet Audrée's birthday. We ended this week by chatting with her.  We are so proud of all our children and grandchildren.   We love them "gros comme le ciel" and we miss them so much.  I woke up this morning with a message from our Coralie who opened the door to memory lane for me. She sent me this letter I send her at least 10 years ago for a school project about how was school for her grand-maman when I was in second grade. After reading this letter again, I started remembering some stories to help us learn how to read.  I found online the book and some stories back then.  It was so fun to reminisce. Do you remember the March 13 entry? Tender mercy #8 Saturday morning we woke up to a miraculous news.  Go back and read it if you do not remember.  Here is Elder Kema being reunited with his long lost, almost destroyed suitcase. 2020 Semaine 29 (13-19 juillet)

What happened during week 29: Big preparation in Vanuatu for the Celebrations of the 40th anniversary of their independence. What was once broken was fixed Interviews with the Mission President and district councils where the Spirit was felt and   brought a desire to be obedient.   We attended the district council of the Blacksands district We were blessed by technology as we visited with family members.  Little Emma could not leave her daddy's ear alone.  It was so much fun to pull on it. (for her of course, not daddy) He bore it patiently for awhile until mom removed her to play with something else. 😁 Calvin had so much to tell us about toys and the accident of his brother stepping on a toy and breaking it in the process. And Calvin expressed his complete confidence that his dad will fix it.  No pressure Stephen but he is counting on you.  We share his confidence.
