2019 Week 49 (1-8 December)

Not many pictures this week but that does not mean we were not busy.
It was TRANSFER WEEK !!!

Always a lot of emotions.  Flights being delayed, cancelled.  Two missionaries needing to go home early...

But finally everything worked out for the best.  The Lord is in charge and we need to trust Him all the time.

The 7 missionaries who have finished their mission and will be home for Christmas.  Can you sense a little envy in this comment?  Well, I cannot lie.  It would be great to be with family for Christmas but we are not ready to leave our mission just yet.

15 missionaries came to join us.  One Canadian who has been visa waiting for 3 transfers in Edmonton. Canada, has finally joined his MTC district in New Caledonia (Elder Ferguson). He is standing next to President on the picture below.
One missionary, Elder Mulitalo, is back after spending 4 months getting the wound on his ankle all healed up. He is standing on my left  below.

Orientation

We are so blessed to have sister Carlson who takes care of food that week.  It is her busiest weeks because she also takes care of flights for missionaries being transferred and all the unexpected flights delayed or cancelled.  Church travel takes care of the missionaries going home and coming in the mission field.  The hosting Elders help her organize the "Guide to the Galaxy" with all the details of when everyone has to move and where etc.  It is mind boggling!   They do such a great work!

Yesterday was coordinating council for grand-papa.  From left to right.  Elder Adolph Johansson
Area Seventy, President Georgie Guidi, Noumea, New Caledonia Stake President, Elder Yamashita counselor in the Area Presidency, President Yvon Basil, Port Vila Stake President, and the Vanuatu Port Vila Mission handsome Mission President.😁

We enjoyed dinner with Elders Johansson and Elder Yamashita at the Warwick resort.  Eating sushi and teppanyaki grill.  It was very good.

The feast this week was not only with food for the palet but also for the spirit with words from our prophet.
Here is one of his counsels:
"Individual worthiness requires a total conversion of mind and heart to be more like the Lord, to be an honest citizen, to be a better example, and to be a holier person.  The restored gospel of Jesus Christ will bring hope and joy to people who will hear and heed His doctrine."

It is the deepest wish of our hearts that you will receive this hope and joy in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ as you hear and heed His doctrine.
