2020 Semaine 1 ( 1-5 janvier)
Thanks to technology, I was able to visit with my mom and siblings on New Year's day. We gathered from Quebec, Utah, Philippines and Vanuatu.
The children and their families got together to celebrate the beginning of the new year. And these two stayed home. Like us they were with them in their heart.
Look at those chubby cheeks. 😘😘
Our heart is full of love and gratitude for the blessings of our children in our life ever since they came to join us and even in the preexistence also. Words cannot express, it has to be felt. Mifala lavem yufala tuuuuuuuuumas!
I would like to share nuggets of wisdom I read yesterday:
" The normal ups and downs of family life can cause us to feel uncertain, wondering if we will ever have the reassuring calm and peace we desire. We can dwell on what is missing in our lives and find ourselves being pulled down to the depths of despair. Or we can trust in the Lord's love for each of us, hanging on tightly to the truths, supports, and blessings of membership in this great Church, which can buoy our spirits and inspire us to greater efforts. As we do, in time we will come to see that the work we do in our own homes __each one unique in both challenges and opportunities
__can, in fact, compare with the temple in sacredness.
The magnificence of your efforts may not be readily apparent. But I promise you that the Lord is aware of each one of you, He knows the end from the beginning, and , as you allow Him, He will be by your side, especially during those times when you worry that what you have to offer may not be enough. At those times, hold onto this truth in Doctrine and Covenants: "Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great" (64:33)" [Janet S. Scharman, Only in the Home, talks from the 2003 BYU Women's Conference p. 108-109]
When we first arrived in the mission field, the Spirit impressed in my mind and heart that the Lord was going to show us the missionaries who were struggling so that we could help them. The impression was very strong and unmistakable. So much so that several times during our experience here it comes back to me. This week we were reminded every day that this is what the Lord needs us to do. We need the Holy Ghost to show us the way. As we follow His direction, even though we don't always see the fruits, we are comforted that we are doing what the Lord wants us to do. I was comforted by this quote and I hope it will bless you also in what you are experiencing. We are not alone.
Today dad gave me a priesthood blessing that I always ask him for at the beginning of the year. It used to be my dad but he is now busy on the other side. Dad is busy now on the other side of this world. He wishes he could give you your yearly blessing, but do not let the distance stop you from receiving a blessing of the Lord. You know a worthy priesthood holder that could bless you and your children. I invite you to ask for one.
To conclude, I want to share with you what I did to salvage this white T- shirt that was stained. I am pretty happy with it.

Yufala i gat wan gudfala niu yia. Lavem yufala.
Love hearing your experiences. Happy New Year for 2020, may it be another wonderful year filled with special experiences as you serve.
