Life in Vanuatu:

I want to capture as much of Vanuatu as I can so we can bring the memories with us when the time comes for us to go.

Monday morning we saw this cute family carrying wood.  Everyone was participating.  So adorable!

This little bird was hopping around for awhile. It was lunchtime in the mission home's backyard.
Can you see the bird on the following picture?

When the leaves of this tree dry up they are pretty hard and you could use them as a bowl or plate.
We have one inside the house with seashells in it.

This tree is in the front of the mission home and I think it is just beautiful.  I love trees.  There are so many amazing ones here.  One day, I have to go around and take pictures of the different kinds.
Here is another one
Students going back home after school,
There is beauty all around.  In Vanuatu at dusk

and  Lake Louise in Canada where Etienne and his family went to visit.

The many facets of a Mission President's life:

At the office
Teaching with missionaries

Attending district councils with his companion.😊
And helping in the kitchen. 😍
Talking about kitchen duties.  We are creatures of habit and every Friday night is pizza night with a twist:  We use a coriander and cumin wrap for the crust.  We like thin crust and it is very savory.

It was a gorgeous day today.  We felt we should visit the Etas ward.  One of our returned missionaries that served in Solomon Islands and his parents were giving talks.  Perfect timing.

Members walking to church.

Relief Society.  I understand more and more of what is said in Bislama. 😁
The sister in the light blue dress is Margret Magrit.  Hemi i stap fren blo mi mo hemi i klinim hoas mo ofis blo misin.  She is my friend and she cleans the mission office and house.  She helped me learned Bislama.  I also read the Book of Mormon in Bislama and I listen to talk shows or news on the radio when I am in the car.

I got creative this week and covered two notebooks with paint, electric and duck tape.  I use these notebooks as my small plates to write what I learn in the scriptures.  This week I wrote :
"they did worship God with exceedingly great joy." Alma 45:1 It also brings me great joy to serve the Lord.

We enjoyed talking with Kade, Eli, Skylar and Mylene this week.

Another week has gone by.  Before we realize it, it will be time to eat pizza again. 😁
