2020 Semaine 50 (7-13 décembre)

A very full week with heavy rain.  It is going to be short in words this week.  It is a race against the electricity tripping again and again because of the heavy rain.  It has cleared up for a short spell so here we go.

I received a surprise on my desk this Monday.  Eldeer Arriola Alvizuris took the most recent picture of our mission  from our zone conference the first week of December and made this holiday card for us.

What a nice surprise

Tuesday we attended a district council (Blacksands district)  I was asked to present a training from the Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ.  I chose to explain two points in the message from the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on the first page.

"Dear fellow missionary" and
"To be an effective missionary, you must be a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ."

I asked them to take a few minutes to complete the following two sentences after I explained the word fellow:
I am a fellow missionary because...
I am a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ because...

This is how I completed the two sentences:

I am a fellow missionary because I invite others to come unto Christ.  I work at developing
Christlike attributes.  I love the Lord.

I am a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ because I want to follow Him, obey His commandments, remember Him always and repent every day so I can have His Spirit with me to help me become like Jesus Christ.

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we have made these same covenants to be a fellow missionary and become a disciple of Christ.  How would you complete these sentences?

Cute decoration that was added at Au Bon Marché.

Beautiful Vanuatu at the end of a day.

Wednesday was training of the district presidents.  A little concert before getting to work.

President Rene Tarohati from Luganville District, Santo
President Morgan Ialulu from Tanna District
President Loui Sino Leetham from Malekula District

and joining them online:
President John Lausao from Honiara District, Solomon Islands

We still cannot travel to or from the Solomon Islands

We concluded  this great day with a nice meal and this beautiful view.

Today Sunday, it was the Primary Presentation at Sacrament Meeting.

The Elders helped out getting the young boys ready.

This sweet boy asked his mom to put on two ties.  It was like all other Primary Presentation I have attended in my life, filled with sweet testimonies, joyful songs and the confirmation from the Holy Ghost that truth was being taught.

Buzy making stars for our Christmas get together with the missionaries on December 23rd.  To be continued...

A sample of the heavy rain.

It is time to go with the most important part.

Mifala lavem yufala tumas.
