Week 24 (10-16 Dec. 2018)

I started the week and the day with this little spider that greeted me with a high one (five).  I have heard somewhere that spiders bring good luck. It doesn't really matter if it is true or not.  On thing I know is that it was a GREAT WEEK!  Preparations for Santa at Au Bon Marché, the supermarket where we go.  It is really nice to see decorations and hear Christmas music.  It always makes me feel happy. Merci Audrée pour les décorations que nous avons commencé à donner à nos missionnaires. Je les aime beaucoup et eux aussi. The reason for the season! We see these beautiful trees in every territory of our mission.  They flourish in the summer, in December, and because of it some call it the Christmas tree. Three missionaries arrived Wednesday.  It is what is called a mid-transfer.  They stayed three extra weeks at the MTC in New Zealand to learn English.  We hope that soon, if they need to stay a little longer ...

Week 23 (3-9 December 2018)

I was excited to see the Christmas lights in downtown Port Vila when we came back from the Solomon Islands Monday. It was a Christmas week!   We attended two zone conferences (Efate/Tanna and New Caledonia) where we talked about what should we give the Savior in 2019. The missionaries presented the story of the birth of Jesus Christ with their talents.   We watched the movie “Mr. Krueger’s Christmas” in the first conference and “the Nativity” in the second conference.   We ate two feasts prepared by the missionaries and they enjoyed some activities in the afternoons.   We enjoyed singing Christmas hymns with them and the sharing of testimonies.   All in all, a very uplifting and enjoyable experience each time.                                                                     ...
