2020 Semaine 43 (19-25 octobre)


It was a busy and wonderful week!

Zone conference and the final preparations and departure of our Elder Masam who stayed in Vanuatu 30 months.

His testimony for his last zone conference was touching.  I am amazed at the timing of the Lord and his nurturing and the growth of his missionaries.  Not only does He know us perfectly but He knows how to help us grow and polish us.







I have seen the truth of President Eyring’s  message “Tested, Proved, and Polished”

He said:  “The greatest blessing that will come when we prove ourselves faithful to our covenants during our trials will be a change in our natures.  By choosing to keep our covenants, the power of Jesus Christ and the blessings of His Atonement can work in us.  Our hearts can be softened to love, to forgive, and to invite others to come unto the Savior.  Our confidence in the Lord increases.  Our fears decrease.”

What an amazing experience it has been to serve the Lord here.  It is not only an adventure,  it is a polishing episode in all our lives.

President Eyring continues:  “To make that possible, Heavenly Father gave us a Savior and the power to choose for ourselves by faith to keep His commandments and to repent and so come unto Him.  The Father’s plan of happiness has at its center our becoming ever more like His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.  In all things, the Savior’s example is our best guide.”

“You are being nourished and comforted by a loving Savior, who knows how to succor you whatever tests you face.”

I am in awe as I see all this come to pass.

What a pleasure again this week to visit with family.  





                    It is mango time and grand-papa is making sure we enjoy them in abundance.

The highlight of our week was talking with Wesley for his birthday with a bonus hello from Jacob, Mason, Calvin and Arianne.  He is now 6 years old.  He is such a sweet boy and we were very happy he talked to us for almost 30 minutes!!!  We were thrilled.  We usually get a quick hello then a quick goodbye followed by a  I love you because he is busy playing . We could have talked a lot longer but we had to leave for a meeting.  A very close second was a chat with Halle, Bella, Jaden, Audrée and Jason.  Short but very sweet.  These conversations, Messenger, Facebook and pictures are such a support in these crazy times.   Like these sweet faces to look at every time we feel like screaming, gets us back in our zen zone and making us smile.                                                                           This week was a blast!  We came back Monday from Solomon Islands.  Very glad the flights have not been cance

2021 Month 3:4 (22-28 March)

Most important event this week.  Our sweet Audrée's birthday. We ended this week by chatting with her.  We are so proud of all our children and grandchildren.   We love them "gros comme le ciel" and we miss them so much.  I woke up this morning with a message from our Coralie who opened the door to memory lane for me. She sent me this letter I send her at least 10 years ago for a school project about how was school for her grand-maman when I was in second grade. After reading this letter again, I started remembering some stories to help us learn how to read.  I found online the book and some stories back then.  It was so fun to reminisce. Do you remember the March 13 entry? Tender mercy #8 Saturday morning we woke up to a miraculous news.  Go back and read it if you do not remember.  Here is Elder Kema being reunited with his long lost, almost destroyed suitcase. 2020 Semaine 29 (13-19 juillet)

What happened during week 29: Big preparation in Vanuatu for the Celebrations of the 40th anniversary of their independence. What was once broken was fixed Interviews with the Mission President and district councils where the Spirit was felt and   brought a desire to be obedient.   We attended the district council of the Blacksands district We were blessed by technology as we visited with family members.  Little Emma could not leave her daddy's ear alone.  It was so much fun to pull on it. (for her of course, not daddy) He bore it patiently for awhile until mom removed her to play with something else. 😁 Calvin had so much to tell us about toys and the accident of his brother stepping on a toy and breaking it in the process. And Calvin expressed his complete confidence that his dad will fix it.  No pressure Stephen but he is counting on you.  We share his confidence.
