Our Time in Vanuatu

 What a wonderful week!   We did not see it ourselves but saw a great picture of the "Christmas Star" (Jupiter and Saturn) It was a rough beginning of the week.  One sister missionary got dehydrated and lost a lot of sodium.  She was convulsing but they were not seizures.  It was more like restlessness, spasms and cramps in her legs and arms.  That happened Sunday late afternoon and we went to their house.  The doctor and the ambulance had to be called, and came. No amount of medicine could calm her down.  She received one IV at the house then two more at the hospital.  Her cousin is also serving in our mission and she came to the hospital to try to calm her down.  The missionary told her that she could not control the spasms. Grand-papa spent the night with them at the hospital.  She received a very low dose of medication around 2:00 in the morning and she finally relaxed.  She had received a total of about 30 mg at diffe...

  In 5 days it is Christmas and we want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry 2020 Christmas. It was a challenging year.  However we can always count on the Savior to brighten our day!  And so we share with you the last words of Moroni at the end of this year because they are so fitting: "Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot."
