2019 Week 26 (24-30 juin)




A year ago today...



I had to take this picture today.  The view is so amazing.  I never get tired of looking at it the same as I always enjoyed looking at the beautiful mountains in Utah.  We live on such a gorgeous planet.





We started the week with a package of love.  We were able to add to our art and notes screen.  I was thinking all our sweeties (children and grandchildren) can either write a note or make a drawing once in a while for us.  Take a picture of it to send to me.  I will print it and add it to our "posting board".

 It was a great training week.  First with the District Presidents ( one was missing because of health problems) and then with the missionaries of the Efate/Tanna Zones

Sister Anderson brought the dessert.  She is such a good baker.  Her husband assures me that she only bakes no calories desserts.  I'll take his word for it. 😜





I love being with the missionaries so much.



We talked about having a companionship where the Spirit dwells.  And practice how to ask inspired questions.  An inspired question helps the people learn the gospel and feel the Spirit who teaches truth.


 This week was also the Mission Leadership Seminar for the one hundred sixty some new mission presidents and their wives.  We can watch it also on our missionary portal.  We watched about half the presentations.  We are so thankful for these trainings that helps us in this great and wonderful responsibility.
We shared with the missionaries this picture from Elder Neil L Andersen's presentation.  Some missionaries are facing the Lord and looking to Him.  Others are looking down, away, turning back, not on the path...  Missionaries like all of us can become distracted, discouraged, distant...
There is only one solution for all of it.
"Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God"  Moroni 10:32

"And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness.  I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."  Ether 12:27

I know that His grace is sufficient.

Our grandparents' heart was warmed by these sweet pictures this week.

The highlight of our week was talking with Wesley for his birthday with a bonus hello from Jacob, Mason, Calvin and Arianne.  He is now 6 years old.  He is such a sweet boy and we were very happy he talked to us for almost 30 minutes!!!  We were thrilled.  We usually get a quick hello then a quick goodbye followed by a  I love you because he is busy playing . We could have talked a lot longer but we had to leave for a meeting.  A very close second was a chat with Halle, Bella, Jaden, Audrée and Jason.  Short but very sweet.  These conversations, Messenger, Facebook and pictures are such a support in these crazy times.   Like these sweet faces to look at every time we feel like screaming, gets us back in our zen zone and making us smile.                                                                           This week was a blast!  We came back Monday from Solomon Islands.  Very glad the flights have not been cance

2021 Month 3:4 (22-28 March)

Most important event this week.  Our sweet Audrée's birthday. We ended this week by chatting with her.  We are so proud of all our children and grandchildren.   We love them "gros comme le ciel" and we miss them so much.  I woke up this morning with a message from our Coralie who opened the door to memory lane for me. She sent me this letter I send her at least 10 years ago for a school project about how was school for her grand-maman when I was in second grade. After reading this letter again, I started remembering some stories to help us learn how to read.  I found online the book and some stories back then.  It was so fun to reminisce. Do you remember the March 13 entry? Tender mercy #8 Saturday morning we woke up to a miraculous news.  Go back and read it if you do not remember.  Here is Elder Kema being reunited with his long lost, almost destroyed suitcase. 2020 Semaine 29 (13-19 juillet)

What happened during week 29: Big preparation in Vanuatu for the Celebrations of the 40th anniversary of their independence. What was once broken was fixed Interviews with the Mission President and district councils where the Spirit was felt and   brought a desire to be obedient.   We attended the district council of the Blacksands district We were blessed by technology as we visited with family members.  Little Emma could not leave her daddy's ear alone.  It was so much fun to pull on it. (for her of course, not daddy) He bore it patiently for awhile until mom removed her to play with something else. 😁 Calvin had so much to tell us about toys and the accident of his brother stepping on a toy and breaking it in the process. And Calvin expressed his complete confidence that his dad will fix it.  No pressure Stephen but he is counting on you.  We share his confidence.
